About this activity

Parasailing, also known as parascending or parakiting, is a recreational kite activity where a person is dragged behind a boat while it is attached to a specially designed parachute wing. The harness fixes the shed to the parasail, which is connected to the boat by means of the tow rope. The boat departs and carries the para ascender (or wing) and person in the air. Sit back and enjoy the view without operating the parachute. The sport was developed in the early 1970s and has been very popular ever since. The first international competitions were held in the mid-1980s and continue every year to this day. Over the years, the competitions have grown in both size and number. It is 100% safe and recommended!
